​​Before the photo session think about your family's favorite place or what your family likes to do? Do you like to walk on the beach, go to the park, walk in the forest, etc? Or maybe your home is your favorite place in the world? Ideally, the photographs should tell a story, and it should be a story about YOUR family.

Light is the most important part of any photo. One way to get a great light is to photograph at a time of day when the sun isn’t high in the sky. The harsh light is very unflattering, it gives a harsh shadow under the eyes and neck along with overall high contrast. Once we decide on location I will advise on the best time for your photo session. I know lots of amazing locations around Dungarvan, co. Waterford and surrounding areas for photoshoots. Lismore Castle and park, Ardmore and Clonea beach, Glenshelane and Colligan woods would be just a few of my favorite places.

Usually, a lifestyle photo session does not involve a lot of props. You want to create a relaxed atmosphere for you and your family. Small children are not always good at standing still and posing, so they are much happier if you give them something to do. So bring their favorite toys, a ball, or maybe a book. Grab a picnic blanket and a few snacks and you will be amazed how adorable the photographs will look!
