Last Sunday 18th of February, I photographed the parents, family, and friends of children with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) at Crazy Cats Tattoo Studio in Ballyfermot, Dublin.
The charity “Tattoo-athon” was run in conjunction with CHD Awareness Month and saw participants get inked with heart-themed tattoos. The event raised almost €2,000 for Heart Children Ireland, which fundraises for the Cardiac Unit at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.
I am a mother of 3-month-old baby Leo, a CHD survivor, and I got inked below my heart, with a tattoo of an electrocardiograph reading (ECG) with a heart, to mark the occasion and to celebrate my little miracle baby boy.

Leo’s 11-year-old sister Angelina, was also on hand to sell charity wrist-bands and windmills to attendees.
