In March of this year, I've been asked to take part of a competition to give away a Micro Wedding to one lucky couple.
We had so many entries for the competition that we knew this was going to be really
special for someone, and on May 30th at 2.00pm we held the draw, we asked a passer
by to put their hand in and pull out a winner out of an actual hat. After a huge response to the competition, three weeks later we had our winners, Zoe and Daniel. When we called Zoe
and Daniel to tell them their name had been picked out of the draw, they were so
delighted…. Daniel was even jumping on the garden table.

Both Zoe and Daniel had entered the competition.
One of the questions they had to answer on the online competition was “Why do
you want a Micro Wedding” ?
Zoe’s reply was “We are not into big crazy weddings, we always said we would to
go away a weekend with just out family to some where magical, we are both very into
nature so a small outdoor ceremony would be our dream”.
Daniel’s Reply: “A micro wedding for the micro lives we have, our circle of
family and friends is micro and we like our lives private. But if we were lucky to win
this, micro would be the last thing I and my fiance along with our 2 adorable kids
would be feeling. We are 26 and 27, we love each other and I'd love nothing more
than to share our story with you all because it is one in a million. And I just love the
concept of what you are doing here keeping it small, doing the opposite of what the
wedding industry is doing essentially. It's different and modern, and myself and Zoe
are different and modern. And our kids... let you be the judge of them! They are two
and eight. I proposed to Zoe because she is my world and pride and joy and to share
that with just 20 people tops, is a dream come true. I don't want you to just consider
us so we can win, I'd love to win this because I am the groom, would put my heart and
soul into making that day as special as every other day of our lives is”.

Planning of their Micro Wedding started the following week, Zoe met with Rachel Walsh, Inspired Events and Officiant Antoinette Coleman Kelly. They went through the entire ceremony with them, as well as going through their vows, Zoe and Daniel chose the different parts they would also like to incorporate into their ceremony such as Handfasting, Sand
Ceremony, asking family members to have parts during the ceremony etc.
Zoe showed us the florals she liked, the type of cake they like, the style they were into
and Rachel Walsh, Inspired Events made it happen for them. That week, they got their Marriage Licence to get married at Woodhouse Estate on September 27th 2019.

So at 11.00am on the morning of September 27 th 2019, we arrived at the beautiful
Walled Garden at Woodhouse Estate in Stradbally, owned by Sally and Jim
Thompson. It is, without doubt one of the most beautiful places in Waterford.
The sun was shining, Zoe arrived at 1.00pm with Emma her Maid of Honour.
They were shown the gorgeous Bridal Room in The Walled Garden where Make Up
Artist, Edel Ryan was there to do their gorgeous make up, Hair Stylists, Kimberley
Hill and Niamh Cahill were there to beautifully style their hair.

Antointette Coleman Kelly arrived early to get set up and meet Zoe before the
ceremony and run though everything with her. Graham from Grayes Cakery arrived to meet Zoe and Daniel, and last but not least Seanie Byrne arrived with his gorgeous Barista Café from High Horse Events, not only did Seanie bring the coffees, teas and snacks he also brought the incredible florals, made by Julie Hamilton of High Horse Events.

Soprano Margaret Gilleece and Pianist Will Dwyer arrived next and got set up near the fountain in the Walled Garden.
Daniel and his Best Man, 8 year old Scott arrived next. The boys looked fab!
Once all the guests had arrived, we did First Look Photos, this is where Zoe and
Daniel see each other for the first time before their ceremony, it was such a beautiful
moment, pure joy. We love doing this for our couples, it takes all the nervousness
out of the moment and you can really enjoy your walk up the aisle!
Then at 4.00pm, it was time for the ceremony, Zoe walked down the aisle with her
lovely Dad, to Pianist Will Dwyer playing and Margaret Gilleece singing “A Thousand
Years”.

Antoinette Coleman Kelly gave them the most beautiful ceremony, which was all
about them as a couple and their journey so far. Daniel said his vows not only to Zoe
but also to Scott which was a beautiful moment.

Zoe, Daniel, Scott and Eva together with their 23 guests had the most beautiful
ceremony in a stunning setting.
After the ceremony they had photos taken in the Walled Garden which looked
incredible in the sunset. Their guests enjoyed Prosecco, Barista Coffee, teas and
snacks before they left to have their reception.
All the incredible vendors on the day would like to wish Zoe and Daniel all the
happiness in the world !
Huge thank you so much to all the wonderful wedding professional who gave their
